Summary

Bringing new life to a garden takes more than just planting. This native garden project needed careful planning and hands-on work to restore overgrown spaces, introduce hardy perennials, and improve the walkways for safety and beauty.

The Work

Planted garden sage, oregano, iris, echinops, nodding onion, yarrow, and split existing spirea and black-eyed susans
Removed invasive garlic mustard to support native growth
Added new perennials and transplanted established plants in different garden areas
Pruned and weeded around flagstone path, walkway, and garden beds for clear access
Edged garden beds and prepared spaces for future planting

The Outcome

The gardens now have a stronger native plant presence, with healthier beds and clear, safe walkways. Invasive plants are gone, and the space is ready for more seasonal color and continued growth.
